Corona Virus Cancellations

Dearest Friends,

The Local Spiritual Assembly of San Jose, after prayerful consultation, and heeding the recommendations of State and County officials, has decided to cancel all upcoming Bahá’í events at the San Jose Bahá’í Center until further notice. This includes:

Feasts, devotionals, and study circles may be held online.

This is the time for prudence and caution as we join our efforts with those of the entire Bay Area area to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The Assembly encourages families and individuals in small groups to find ways to celebrate the new year and Feast of Bahá.

Please rely upon the considerable health and safety recommendations of our public health officials. We encourage you to stay informed of their emerging guidance which can be found at Santa Clara County Department of Public Health [Click Here].

As you plan your celebrations of Naw-Rúz and the Feast of Bahá, please share with each other on our social media site [https://www.facebook.com/SanJoseBahais/] examples of your creativity in programs, songs, prayers and even recipes. The Assembly encourages you to consider ways to serve your neighbors, contacting those who are alone, isolated or in need and find safe ways to assist.

The Assembly cherishes each precious member of our community. Let us all pray for healing and hold thoughts of compassion for those who are suffering.

Warmest regards,

The Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá’ís of San Jose
