“If a small number of people gather lovingly together, with absolute purity and sanctity, with their hearts free of the world, experiencing the emotions of the Kingdom and the powerful magnetic forces of the Divine, and being at one in their happy fellowship, that gathering will exert its influence over all the earth.” – ‘Abdu’l-Bahá
About Young Adult Weekend
Young Adult Weekend’s mission is “to strengthen bonds of fellowship through the love of Bahá’u’lláh and to empower young people to achieve material and spiritual excellence.”
For 6 years, ~80-100 annual attendees from across North America and beyond have come together in joy and radiance, developing lasting bonds of friendship and heightening their collective understanding of what it means “to live a coherent life and be an agent of spiritual and social transformation” (Universal House of Justice, 5th December 2013).
The Program
In service of this goal, we’re putting together a program that we’re incredibly excited about centered on three core elements: a speaker series, interactive workshops and activities, and fellowship in beautiful, natural surroundings.
We’ve had a diverse array of Bahá’í professionals present and lead sessions over the years, including Shane Tedjarati, Holiday Reinhorn, Dan Makoski, Niki de Leon, Rainn Wilson, Dr. Nasrin Bashiri, and Justin and Emily Baldoni among many others.
Session Leaders
Dr. Ymasumac Maranon-Davis, Faculty at CSU, Course Designer at Wilmette Institute
Eric Dozier, Cultural Activist, Anti-Racism Educator, and Former Director of the Harlem Gospel Choir
Shane Tedjarati, Former President & CEO of Honeywell Global High Growth Regions
Julian MacQueen, Chairman and Founder, Innisfree Hotels

We heard your feedback and booked a much nicer venue this year. It costs a lot more. Thankfully, generous individuals have enabled us to heavily subsidize, making it around the same price or even less than it was last year. If you can pay the true cost, we welcome that ($360 winter, $270 dorm).
